My first ship kit and boy was I bowled over. This is not a kit for the faint of heart. Almost every part has to be hand made. Very few cut outs or complete parts. This is not a toy, but a very serious undertaking. All is in the kit apart from tools, glue, rub down, paint, patience, and hundreds of hours of labor. Even if a trying and time consuming hobby, it is also very valuable. Directions are O.K. but you will need to do a lot of idea and engineering. Very small parts and lots of them, to be en suite into very small places with very small tolerance for error. If you enjoy a challenge and are handy with just about all, and have nerves of steel, the eyes of a hawk, the patience of Job, and hundreds of hours of time you will enjoy this. I am happy with the kit equipment, directions(could be best) and consumer service from Constructo (the Manufacturer).

This was a good feature kit. My Husband is a seasoned veteran at ship building and told me it was one of the nicest kits he has gotten.

I've built Constructo models before, and they are tops. I estimate this one will take me a caution months @ 4 hours most days to complete the hull. The masts and ropes will go in with I have through a move I contemplate, so they won't be damaged. I estimate this to be my largest ship develop, and I probably won't fully set the sails to keep the dust at bay. I estimate distinction from the kit, although here are always a few iffy questions.
